Tiger Ware

Tiger ware is so-called because of its distinctive glaze which has dark stripes of brown on a yellowish background. The inside of this hand-thrown stoneware pot is speckled. This piece dates to the 17th or 18th century and may have been manufactured in Bristol or Staffordshire.
