Postcard photographed and published by Jesse Caleb Young. The front carries the title "WINCHESTER RD., BRISLINGTON." and his initials "jcy".

This view looking north along Winchester Road shows, at the end, the rear of buildings on Sandy Park Road. The wagon is aparently piled with crates of beer, and on its back, between the words Pale Ales, is a logo formed of a monogram of AK inside a diamond. The feet of the shire horse can just be seen, between the wheels.

The corner shop, its door thronged by children, has an advert for Fry's Pure Cocoa.

Visit our notes for more information about this photographer and postcard publisher, and his work in Brislington.

Published in print by Fisher, Janet & Derek undated, page 25.
