On the left of the A4 Bath Road is St Mary Redcliffe Cemetery, with the lych-gate over the entrance. The large signs on the end house of the terrace advertise (top down) Van Houten's Cocoa, G Tuckfield & Co Monumental Sculptors, and Baker & Sons, sadly much of the text isn't legible. The tram depot can just be seen in the distance.

The photograph is believed to have been taken by Fred Viner, and the postcard published by Viner & Co., Publishers. Bath. It's also published as "Viner Series, Weston-super-Mare." where it sometimes carries additional information: "Wholesale Agent G. Goodall, Bristol." The front carries the title "Brislington, Bristol." and the reference number "153". See our notes for more information about this photographer and postcard publisher, and their work in Brislington. Earliest known picture: before 3 June 1918.
