The time is forever 1:23 in the afternoon, at least for this picture, and the last breath of wind blew from the northwest, as the weathercock shows. This is one of at least eight similar views of St Luke's tower from this corner of the churchyard.

The photograph is believed to have been taken by Fred Viner, and the postcard published by Viner & Co., Publishers. Bath. The front carries the title "St Luke's Church, Brislington, Bristol" and the reference number "134".
