This, the gate lodge for Brislington House, stood on Brislington Hill where the junction of Glenarm Road with the A4 Bath Road now lies. The lodge and Brislington House were demolished, and the Merryweathers housing development now stands on the site.

The photograph is believed to have been taken by Fred Viner, and the postcard published by Viner & Co., Publishers. Bath. The front carries the title "The Lodge, Brislington House, White Hart Hill, Brislington." and the reference number "1222". See our notes for more information about this photographer and postcard publisher, and their work in Brislington.
