The sign is partially obscured but the banner ends "& Repairing Works" and the buildings are the engineering works (demolished) that stood where the large carparks, and most northerly of the two large retail outlets, now sit alongside Tramway Road.

The photograph is believed to have been taken by Fred Viner, and the postcard published by Viner & Co., Publishers. Bath. The front carries the title "Constructional Works, Brislington." See our notes for more information about this photographer and postcard publisher, and their work in Brislington.
