This Robertson's factory has been demolished and its site is covered by a supermarket. The photograph is believed to have been taken by Fred Viner, and the postcard published by "Viner & Co., Publishers. Bath". The front carries the title "The Home of Golden Shred & Silver Shred Preserves, Brislington." The names of the preservers refer to the thin strips of orange peel and lemon peel respectively in these marmalades.

The earliest known date for this picture is 24 Feb 1921. See our notes for more information about this photographer and postcard publisher, and his work in Brislington.
