Part

"Ah'm sorry!!"
Terry - sporting a spectacular black eye amongst his numerous other bruises, but thankful that at least his partner had held back a little: there'd been no sign of that red glow around his hand that presaged such awful pain and damage - knelt on the bed looking up at a fuming Jaeger.
"Just vhich part of 'no' did you not understand? Ve agreed to let him rest. Vhy couldn't you do that simple thing?"
      Terry bowed his head miserably.
      "Ah dunno… He's jest so… so…"
"Irresistible? Ja, I know this. So? If I can control myself, vhy can't you?"
      The Texan groaned.
"Ah jest… Ah ain't never been in this situation before. Ah don't know how t'handle it."
Jaeger swatted him across the head.
"You don't handle it by driving him away!
Sheiße, dumbkopf, vhat does it take to get through that dicht schädel of yours?"
Asking Jaeger to speak English was probably not a good idea right now, Terry thought - and in any case he got the general idea… Jaeger folded his arms across his chest and glowered down at the Texan.
"Vhat, exactly, do you feel for Dik Dik?"
      Terry blinked, then frowned.
      "Feel?... well, he's a friend… Ah like him…"
"For himself - or for his body?"
      "Well both…"
      "Not just for the sex?"
The Texan hung his head. He did like Dik Dik for himself, really he did - he'd just… got so used to having that strong, muscular body available to him, he'd somehow forgotten the person it belonged to… If he was completely honest with himself, he'd enjoyed having power over the buck. And that, he realised with a sense of shame, was not the behaviour of a friend…
      "Ah've screwed up, ain't Ah?"
"That is vun vay to put it…"
Terry swallowed hard, gazing up at the German almost tearfully.
"How kin Ah put it right?"
Jaeger shoved a hand through his hair, huffing.
"Ve need to let him know how much he is valued. Vhat he means to us. Ve need to look after him. Ve need a strategy…"
Terry was silent for a moment, then sighed.
      "'S like courtin' someone."
"Ja, that is it. Ve should court him."
      "'S gonna feel funny."
      "Vhat vill?"
"Courtin' him. Ah mean, we're been livin' together fer… how long?"
"That does not matter. Pretend you haf only just met him, and vant to get to know him."
      Terry scratched his head.
"Ah guess Ah kin do that."
      Jaeger glowered.
"Vill it help if I hit you every time you forget?"
The Texan shuddered. The threat alone should remind him…
      "Yew gonna do the same?"
"Of course. I too haf not treated him properly…"

Dik Dik sighed and blinked his eyes open. He was warm and comfortable, the strong arms around him encircling him in peace and protection. He raised his head, to find Checkmate awake and gazing at him.
      "Good morning. Thou slept well?"
      Dik Dik smiled.
"I always sleep well with you."
      The chessmaster chuckled.
"That pleaseth me." He stretched slightly, and winced. The buck extricated himself and stood up, offering a hand to his bedmate.
"We should look at those shoulders."
Checkmate accepted the hand and rose to his feet, grimacing slightly.
"Indeed, that would be more comfortable. But thou dost not need to help. Perhaps thou wouldst order breakfast while I tend to myself?"

Breakfast had been leisurely, tasty and satisfying, but time was passing and they both had sessions to attend shortly. Checkmate inclined his head.
      "What wilt thou do?"
Dik Dik rested his cheek in his hand, idly stirring his coffee.
"I don't know. I have to go back, have to face them." He sighed. "If nothing else, all my clothes and things are there."
"Wouldst like me to come with thee?"
      The buck shook his head.
"Thanks, but no. I can do this."
"Then might I meet thee for luncheon? And dinner?"
      "I'd like that."
"And…" the chessmaster hesitated. "Thinkest not that I wish to pressure thee, but wouldst thou consider… staying with me? Just for a time, mayhap, whilst thou decidest what to do."
Dik Dik gazed into turquoise eyes: Checkmate was nervous about asking, he could tell. He smiled.
       "Let me think about it."
      "Of course…"

Dik Dik paused outside the door, ears twitching. There was no sound from inside the suite - perhaps the others were already at their training session… Warily, he entered.
"Leibchen!" Jaeger leapt forwards and pulled him into a hug. "Vhere vere you? Ve vere vorried…"
Not worried enough to come look for me… Dik Dik pulled back and looked around the room.
      "Where's Terry?"
      "He has gone for breakfast."
      "You didn't go with him?"
"I vanted to vait here. In case you came back." Jaeger took the buck's hand and led him over to the bed. Dik Dik tensed, but the German simply seated himself, gazing earnestly into the wary white face.
"I am sorry. Ve did not mean to drive you avay."
      Dik Dik closed his eyes.
      "It's alright."
      Jaeger stroked his face gently.
"No, it is not alright, leibchen. Ve haf taken advantage of you, not cared for you as ve should. That is now to change."
Dik Dik frowned nervously. It looked like his life was about to get yet more complicated.
      "Change? Change how?"
The German placed both hands on thickly-pelted shoulders.
"From now on, ve make sure ve do vhat you vant to do. And ve ask you before ve haf sex. And if you do not feel like it, then ve do not insist."
The buck nodded hesitantly. Jaeger inclined his head.
"This is not acceptable to you?"
"I need to think about it." He wondered for a moment if he should tell them about Checkmate... They'd have to know sometime…
But perhaps not just yet. He wasn't used to the idea himself yet. And he hadn't decided what to do, whether to accept Checkmate's offer. And anyway, it would upset Terry…

The Texan arrived at the training ring before them, and watched as they approached, trying to make himself see Dik Dik as a stranger. A very attractive stranger. Rather to his surprise, it worked.
The gazelle-man was attractive, he realised. Tall, muscular, exotic, graceful and very good-looking. Terry felt the heat pooling in his groin and swallowed hard, trying to will his erection away and failing. Well, he couldn't do anything about that, but at least he could mind his manners…
He smiled as the buck climbed into the ring, but made no move towards him.
"Howdee, Dik Dik. How's it goin'?"
      The buck eyed him warily.
      "Hello Terry…"
There was a moment's awkward silence, then,
"Ah… need to apologise. Ah was selfish. Ah'm sorry. Won't happen again."
Neither Dik Dik nor Jaeger were convinced of that, but it showed willing at least. Dik Dik smiled and relaxed a little.
      "Thank you."
He was aware of Terry watching him as they trained, but for once it seemed - appreciative, rather than lustful. During a short break mid-morning, the Texan had asked if the buck would join them for lunch. Dik Dik shook his head a little guiltily.
      "I have a prior engagement."
      Terry's face fell.
      "With Checkmate?"
      "Y… yes…"
      "How's about dinner?"
      "… I'm sorry…"
The Texan grinned with forced cheer.
"Well, yew enjoy y'rself, y'hear? Maybe we'll see yew later?"
      The buck lowered his eyes.
      "Maybe…"

Midnight, and Terry was sitting on the bed, elbows resting on his upraised knees and head in his hands. Jaeger regarded him sympathetically, then knelt behind him, kneading his tense shoulders. Terry shrugged him off miserably.
"Don't. Ah don' wanna feel better. Ah screwed up. He ain't comin' back."
      "Ve don't know that."
      "Bet he's with Checkmate…"
Jaeger thought that was very likely. He wrapped his arms around the Texan from behind and kissed his neck.
"Come to bed. Ve both need to sleep."
"How kin yew think of sleep at a time like this?"
"There is nothing ve can do about it right now. Tomorrow - vell, tomorrow is another day. I vould prefer to face the problem rested."
Nodding dispiritedly Terry slid into the bed, sighing as Jaeger curled up behind him. Sleep was a long time coming.

"Hast thou had a chance to consider?"
It was said hesitantly. Dik Dik sighed and stretched along the chessmaster's body.
"It's difficult. I want everyone to be happy, and I don't know how to make it happen."
      Checkmate stroked his back.
"'tis a problem, indeed. But 'tis most important that thou art happy. What wouldst thou prefer?"
The buck chuckled nervously, his voice wistful.
"What I'd prefer? I'd like us all to be together, live together, sleep together."
There was a startled silence, then Checkmate frowned.
      "'tis a novel solution…"
"We'd need a very big bed."
      The chessmaster nodded slowly.
"Indeed… But such things can be provided."
Dik Dik raised his head, eyes wide.
      "I was joking!... well, half-joking…"
      "Thou wouldst not like it?"
He would like it, the buck realised. It would be an ideal solution. He'd be happy, Terry would be happy - as long as he didn't mind sharing Checkmate, that is - he didn't think Jaeger would mind, the German was very easy-going… But would Checkmate go for it?
"How… how would you feel about it?"
      Checkmate considered the question.
"'t'would not be my first choice. But the idea hath much appeal." He was silent for a moment, then smiled. "'t'would be like being part of a family."
Family… that was a nice idea. Checkmate had never had anything like a real family, the buck knew - Sunshine didn't count, given the way he'd treated the boy - and Jaeger's early life had gone from loved and happy to hard and loveless. Of course, family didn't necessarily mean all sweetness and light… But it might work. He'd be willing to try.
      Checkmate kissed his forehead.
"Dost thy silence mean thou art interested, or that thou hast changed thy mind?"
Suddenly excited by the thought, Dik Dik pulled himself up to straddle the chessmaster's hips, gazing down into large turquoise eyes. Checkmate chuckled.
      "Interested, then. Nay, eager even."
"But would you be happy with it?"
"I would prefer to have thee all to myself. But I also do not wish for our friends to be unhappy. I am prepared to make the attempt."
Dik Dik sighed, head rolling forwards as his body relaxed. He hadn't realised how tense he'd become.
      "Thank you."
"Th'art welcome. When shall we request it of Masters Terry and Jaeger?"
      "How about at breakfast?"
Checkmate frowned pensively, then shook his head.
"I think not. Let us allow them a little more time to pine for thee. Let us leave it until the morning after."
The buck nodded happily, rocking against the growing hardness at Checkmate's groin. The chessmaster frowned and caught his hips.
"But thou art not recovered yet, surely…"
      Dik Dik kissed him.
"I heal fast." And I want to make love to you…
Checkmate was still unsure, but the buck was so tempting… He groaned as Dik Dik shifted into position then impaled himself with a long, contented sigh.
      "Dik Dik… thou art…"
The buck silenced him with a deep kiss, and for a long while the only noises in the room were little moans, and whimpers, and the soft, erotic sound of flesh on flesh.
