Gremlins

Descriptions…

My thanks to everyone for allowing me to publish these!

Talon:
[Sazuki] Ok… well I’ve figured a few things out… it IS a her… she’s a little pixie sort of thing, with green hair and a pink tutu. She can take off her face when she wants to be really scary… she doesn’t like it when Jim messes with the computer, even on his own sign in, she’ll freeze up his internet connection, and it never happens to me. I’m not sure if she’s responsible for me losing my saved IM’s the last time Jim "fixed" my computer, but I’m not ruling her out. Every so often she’ll up and close my AIM account while I’m on it… she seems particularly fond of pop-up ads, I have a hard time getting pop-up killer software to work on my system…

Lutra:
Carli - purple skin, lavender hair, black eyes. She's peeking over my shoulder at Murphy, all big-eyed and breathless... but then, she did that with Butch too... she's quite shy [Joules - suuuuure she is…] She likes playing dress-ups, she's got a can-can outfit that's very... nice... Carli's little trick is making the puter freeze up at random intervals, or when I try to use another application without allowing a decent interval of time between... [Joules - and crashing ICQ...]

Bakayaro onna:
The little bugger would not make it easy on me or my eyes by being some of my favourite colours.  [He's] acid yellow, acid lime green and screaming bright orange to try and make me throw up.
And he definitely [isn't] pleasing to the eye when it comes to favourite animals.  Nothing of the feline family, the equine family, raptor family or cephalapod family.
Name?  I guess Murphy, for Murphy's Multimedia Laws.
rat says his computer gremlin is named Dramataphyde - toe fungus, and looks like the cartoon in the toe fungus commercial currently running here.  An oval with big eyes and teeth, arms and legs sticking out and a tuft of hair on the top.  Kinda yucky muddy yellow green in colour…

Valkyrie:
Well, I don't know when Taipo decided to inhabit my machine, I mean I think he's been around for a long time and I didn't realise it - but now I do!
He's somewhat Maori in origin, being a dragon spirit and all steely blue with a long finned sweeping tail, that can do enough damage of its own accord. He collects things, yes indeedy, especially anything that uses memory, he's become quite a memory freak and "loves" Photoshop. He keeps taking the guts out of the memory until everything bogs down and grinds to a halt, then there's this evil little twitter going on inside my machine.
His name is Taipo which is another Maori name for gremlin or demon and it's no coincidence that it sounds a lot like typo, he's very good at manipulating key strokes and turning the letter around  when I type! His favourite word is because, so that becomes becasue when I type it out... I don't know why.... I suspect it's just becasue... damn....  He's cheeky that one!

Here's a Maori sentence I got in a Maori dictionary!
There's a gremlin in the computer.
He taipo kai roto i te mìhini rorhiko

Sylverthorne:
Jet is, naturally, black. Her skin shades from black to purple, going from her tail up to her torso. She looks very much like an aquatic denizen of some seafloor city... but certainly no common mer-maid. Her tail is several body-lengths longer than she is, smoothskinned and almost eelly. I cannot, for the life of me, find the words to describe the end of her tail.. it does the fluke thing, but not the same way... sort of like a letter Y, inverted with the fins flowing off the outsides. Her long hair is the colour of antique gold, a sort of light bronze darkening in places to blood red, her eyes green and devoid of white or pupil.
Ayzur is much the same, in shades of blue, ranging from cobalt near the end of his tail to pale blue in his upper torso, with silver hair. His eyes are green as well, although a much darker shade. Both of them have pointed ears, and probably gills of some kind... behind the ears, I think. Jet wears black hand coverings that stop about the middle of her forearms, just before the fins start. Those go to her elbow, and are also black. Ayzur has a set like them, in the same shade of cobalt as his tail.
I think only one of them actually lives in my comp.. the other one lives in my stereo, and no, I don't know which lives where... they trade off, swimming up and down the cables! (I'm not wholly convinced that they aren't breeding little ones in the bargain ... darned if I know HOW...)

LittleSaru:
The Gremlin known as... wait a sec, I remember how to spell it, really I do... uhm... lemme see... vilenirasmifarornqualikulascious... uhmm... there's more. Normally I just call him/her/it Farorn. He/she/it changes gender - often. And he/she/it likes the word "ridiculous."
I currently have a Vegeta wallpaper. She's (currently female) sitting behind him ogling.
Farorn is a very, very shiny black, with bright, forest green hair and big golden eyes. Her features are reminiscent of rounded points; she has pointed ears, slanted eyes, thin, elegant hands and the biggest grin ever seen. With very white, very sharp teeth. She likes dark chocolate, but is so... ahem... active that she's slim and lithe. She also likes reading - anything really, but lemons are preferred, usually those involving deep, complicated characters (Tetsuo from Akira, Vejiita in some incarnations, Wolverine...). Complicated, perhaps tormented people... Hiei comes to mind as a favourite. She's a romantic, with a cynical streak, highly vengeful, the sort of creature that will stew over a slight and then pounce on her prey.
She's followed me from the family computer - where she protected my files with fiery determination - to the University computer system - where he (at the time) delighted in tormenting the staff - and then to my current computer. She's currently sulking over what the University did to it a year ago, and won't let me access the internet as a sort of lesson to never, ever, ever let anyone fiddle with it again. Sigh...
      But she's a sweety really…
